Wine Cookies

In this recipe, everything is incredibly simple. We’re talking about wine cookies! I’ll answer your question about the wine right away – it cannot be substituted, but you can use any type of wine: red, white, dry, or dessert wine. Baking powder? Also your choice. I’ll include it in the recipe, but many people don’t use it. These cookies should be quite firm because they are soaked in wine.

Like Cantucci, you can create a wonderful gift for friends by packaging the cookies in beautiful paper with a red Christmas bow!

You will need:

  • 100ml Wine
  • 100ml Vegetable oil
  • 100g Sugar
  • 350/400g Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • Anise seeds
  • Sugar for coating the cookies

To start, mix the wine and oil. Add sugar.

Now add flour, baking powder, and seeds.

Knead the dough. Cover and leave at room temperature for 20 minutes.

Then shape the cookies (see photo).

Dip each one in sugar and place on a baking sheet.

Bake at 170 degrees Celsius for 15-20 minutes.
