How often do you make custard cream, and how often do you wonder what to do with leftover egg whites? Today, I’ll give you a recipe for irresistibly delicious cookies… Trust me, your family will be delighted! Only 3 ingredients!
You will need:
- 2 Egg Whites
- 150g Sugar
- 150g Nuts
- A pinch of salt
Whisk the egg whites with salt until stiff peaks form, then gradually add sugar while continuing to whisk. This process will take approximately 10-15 minutes.
Next, fold in finely chopped nuts into the egg whites and mix well with a spatula. Transfer the mixture to a saucepan and heat it. Bring it to a boil and cook for another couple of minutes until the mixture darkens slightly. However, throughout the entire process, be sure to stir the egg whites continuously and maintain medium heat. Do not overcook. The color should become slightly darker, as shown in the photo.
Preheat the oven to 150°C.
On a baking sheet, spoon out the hot dough into small rounds (use 2 tablespoons; avoid touching the dough with your hands). Don’t worry about the shape of the cookies; the charm is in their rustic appearance.
Bake for 20 minutes and leave them in the slightly open, turned-off oven for an additional couple of minutes.
🍀 Good luck! ❣️
