I’m sharing with you the recipe for my family’s favorite cake… Whenever you visit my home, this cake will definitely be ready in the kitchen under its glass dome 😉👌🏻 It’s called “Chambelloné” in Italian, which is a classic Italian cake usually enjoyed for breakfast or simply with tea or coffee. For most young people, this cake will remind them of their grandmother or mother 😁 In childhood, kids usually have a slice of this cake for a snack, accompanied by a cup of milk or cocoa 💕
You will need:
- 250g sugar
- 3 eggs
- 300g flour
- 16g baking powder
- A pinch of salt
- 200ml milk
- 200ml vegetable oil
- Grated lemon zest
If you want a less airy consistency and more like a sponge cake, use the following proportions (the preparation process is the same – it’s available in the story):
- 250g sugar
- 4 eggs
- 300g flour
- 16g baking powder
- A pinch of salt
- 100ml milk
- 165ml vegetable oil
- Lemon or orange zest
- Everything is prepared in one container.
- Beat the eggs with sugar.
- Then add the milk while continuing to beat.
- Add the vegetable oil while continuing to beat.
- Now add the flour, baking powder, and lemon zest, and mix well.
- Chambelloné can be topped with nuts, raisins, chocolate, etc.
- You can divide the batter into two parts and mix one part with cocoa powder. This will create a two-tone cake and delight your children with a chocolate filling.
- Do not mix fruits into the batter. They are heavy and can prevent the cake from rising.
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (without ventilation) and bake for 45 minutes. Sometimes it may take less time, depending on the oven.
Good luck! And… Buon Appetito! 😁
