Carnival twist (or carnival fritters)

You will need:

  • 200/210g Flour
  • 2 Eggs
  • 3 tbsp Cream
  • 1 tbsp Grappa or Liqueur
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 tbsp Sugar (optional)
  • Peanut oil
  • Powdered sugar

Mix eggs, cream, flour, and salt.

Add liqueur and knead until you get a homogeneous and elastic consistency.

Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Then divide into 9-12 portions.

Roll out each piece of dough into a round and thin shape.

Heat the oil to 170 degrees Celsius. Fry on both sides until golden brown.

Place on paper towels.

Now transfer to a plate and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
